Si l’entreprise a déménagé trois fois depuis sa création en 2001 à Lubbeek en Belgique sous le nom d’Hosta & Zo, avant de s’installer dix ans plus tard dans le Pas-de-Calais, où elle devient la Pépinière des Deux-Caps, en référence aux caps Blanc Nez et Gris Nez qui dominent la mer du Nord, ses propriétaires, Diane Nys et Dirk Scheys sont restés, pendant tout ce temps, fidèles à leurs trois plantes fétiches dont ils sont devenus des spécialistes mondialement reconnus.
Agapanthes, heuchères, hostas : comment, il est vrai, ne pas tomber amoureux de ces plantes merveilleuses à la floraison (pour les premières) et aux feuillages enchanteurs (pour les secondes) ? Diane et Dirk en possède trois magnifiques collections, composées de perles rares qu’ils enrichissent année après année, notamment en sélectionnant leurs propres variétés. Ils sont ainsi les heureux obtenteurs d’une cinquantaine de splendides heuchères comme ‘Silver Jewel’, ‘Binoche’ ou ‘Birkin’.
Ce travail remarquable leur a valu de recevoir de nombreux prix et récompenses lors des fêtes des plantes auxquelles ils participent, en particulier à Saint-Jean-de-Beauregard et Courson/Chantilly, où les visiteurs peuvent admirer leur magnifique stand coloré.
Installés depuis 2021 dans le département de la Mayenne, entre Laval et Le Mans, ils mettent tout en œuvre pour produire des plants sains et robustes qu’ils vendent à la pépinière, sur leur site de vente et ligne et, bien évidemment, sur les foires aux plantes.
